Hands-On Introduction to Apache Beam (Any-Scale Data-Processing) workshop

This workshop will be given:
   Day 2: Saturday, 23-July-2022, 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Workshop A (D'Angelo 309)

NOTE: You do NOT need to register to take this workshop -- please show up early to ensure a seat at Workshop A (D'Angelo 309).

Abstract

Apache Beam is an open source unified model for defining data processing pipelines (Batch and strEAM), which allows you to write your pipeline in your language of choice and run it with minimal effort on the execution engine (ex: Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Google Cloud Dataflow) of choice. In this practical session, you will get hands-on experience writing Beam pipelines, as well as learn about the fundamentals of the Beam programming model and SDKs (ex: Python, Go, Java). Also, I will be open/available to talk use-cases and more.
