A New HOPE is Happening in 2022!

A New HOPE is a THREE DAY EVENT, spanning from Friday, July 22nd through Sunday, July 24th, 2022. The event is live and in-person, at our brand new wonderful location:
St. John's Univeristy, in Queens, New York City.
A New HOPE will include scheduled talks, panels, workshops, keynotes, geeky vendors, Club Mate, food, art, concerts, and much more!

As with all HOPE conferences, you will be able to watch all of the talks for free online, live-streamed. They will also all be recorded and available online after the conference.

Workshops

There will be a lot of diverse workshops scheduled throughout A New HOPE! Each will have its own wiki page. Stay tuned...

If you would like to give a workshop at A New HOPE, please submit your proposal!
It is very easy. The info you need is on our Workshops page.

Once all of the workshops are approved, they will all be listed in the Schedule and Workshop links at https://www.hope.net. There will also be an index of all Workshops on this wiki.

There will be no registration available for workshops at A New HOPE. All workshops are first-come, first-served. Some workshops will be given twice.

Villages

A New HOPE will have lots of cool Villages, where cool things may be happening at any time! Some will have scheduled workshops, films, and performances as well. Each Village will have its own wiki page. There will also be an index of Villages on this wiki.

There will be a large area with plenty of tables and chairs and AC power where anyone at HOPE can create a Village. At past HOPE conferences there have been Villages for Lock Picking, Hardware Hacking, lots of hackerspace villages, tea making, anarchists, and many others. If you would like to create a Village at A New HOPE, bring what you need, and if you need help or have any questions, please ask.
